Credit Recovery
During the Regular school Year Monday-Thursday 3pm-5pm
Credit Recovery is for students who have failed a class in the regular school year. Students will do computer tutorials in the needed class in order to receive credit for the class. It is important that students attend daily in order to complete the course but occasional exceptions can be made when necessary. Daily attendance will be taken and progress monitored. Student must notify Counselors, Mr. Duffer, Mr. Creasy, or Mrs. Huntsberry if you must be absent. There is a $50 fee required per course, not to exceed $100 per school year. This fee must be paid before starting credit recovery program to Mrs. Huntsberry. However, if a student is eligible for a fee waiver this $50 fee can be waived. Please fill out the attached paperwork and bring to your counselor. The Counselor will take papers to Mrs. Huntsberry and notify Mrs. Wix, our Lab Coordinator for guided notes in Computer lab room one.

Credit Recovery Mission
Credit Recovery provides an opportunity to receive credit for a course that the student has previously failed. By passing the course, it will be possible for the students to improve attitudes, grades, and behaviors in a manner that will lead them toward high school graduation.
Purpose of Credit Recovery
The Sumner County Board of Education’s purpose of Credit Recovery is to provide an affordable after-school program on the student’s home campus that will ultimately allow the student the opportunity to receive a high school diploma.
Goals and Objectives
Credit Recovery strives to provide a safely structured, well-supervised environment with staff available to tutor and guide students to be academically successful. Improvement will be noted in each school’s failure rate, dropout rate, suspension rate, and graduation rate.
